BE Change Funds Meal Program for 65 Children For Full Year

In July 2020, BE Change provided an additional six months of funding for the meal program at Prema Metta Orphanage School Trust in Sujata Village, Bihar. This impactful program has run entirely on BE Change funds since December 2019, and will now continue until at least December 2020. We intend to use future donations to BE Change to continue funding this meal program at Prema Metta and start a new meal program at a second school in rural Bihar.

Schools in India remain closed due to the COVID-19 pandemic, but Prema Metta has continued to help its students by using some of its BE Change funding to provide meals to students at home during the lockdown. Prema Metta will use the new funds to continue these programs and, as soon as schools are permitted to open, the school will resume providing its 65 young students with a nutritious lunch each school day. Students will also start each school day with a light breakfast.

This amounts to over

that children can count on,
