BE Change Partner School Distributes Food to Students

We’re proud to announce that our partner school, Prema Metta, recently used BE Change funding, which ordinarily supports the school’s meal program, to distribute 60 packages of food to its students and their families at home. As the COVID pandemic continues in India, the villages around Prema Metta have been placed on lockdown. This food distribution has helped provide needed support during this difficult time.

Each student at the school received lentils, rice, potatoes, cooking oil and salt. These packages are intended to supplement family meals as the area remains on lockdown. The school also included soap in each package.

Prema Metta limited distributions to small groups of students at any time and observed social distancing rules.
